Preventative measures

Fences around gardens should be about 3 feet high and can have an electrical component to the fence to dicourage climbing. Woodchucks may burrow under sheds, porches, walkways or other structures. You can be proactive and block off possible cracks, crevices and holes. There are certain repellents made for woodchucks that deter them.
